Why check the wallet

A wallet has no name, but it has a record

On TRON, anyone can open a wallet in seconds, and no one asks who they are. What they cannot hide is the trail: every transfer in and out is public and permanent.

Wallet Crypto AML reads that trail for you. It follows funds backward and forward through the wallet's transfers, notes the counterparties that carry risk, and turns what it finds into a score you can act on.

It does not tell you who owns the wallet. It tells you what the wallet has done, which is often what you need to know before you accept a payment, release goods or send a large transfer.

FAQ

Wallet AML, explained plainly

What a wallet review is, what it shows, and where its limits are.

What is wallet AML?

Wallet AML is the practice of reviewing a crypto wallet's transaction history for signs of money-laundering risk, such as links to sanctioned addresses, mixers, scams or other high-risk counterparties. Wallet Crypto AML does this for TRON wallets and returns a 0–100 score and a report.

How is wallet AML different from KYC?

KYC verifies who a person or business is. Wallet AML looks at what a wallet has done on the blockchain. The two answer different questions and are often used together.

What is Wallet Crypto AML?

It is a web tool for reviewing TRON wallets. You paste an address or transaction hash, and it traces the wallet's history, screens counterparties and gives you a score, the reasons behind it and a downloadable report.

How do I check a crypto wallet?

Paste the TRON address, which starts with T, into the box at the top of the page and press Run AML Scan. Most reviews finish within a few seconds.

Do I have to connect my wallet?

No. Wallet Crypto AML reads public blockchain data only. You never connect a wallet, and the service never asks for a private key or seed phrase. Treat any site that does as a scam.

Which blockchains are supported?

Wallet Crypto AML is built for the TRON network, covering TRX, USDT TRC20 and other TRC20 tokens. Addresses from other chains, such as Ethereum or Bitcoin, are not accepted.

How much does a wallet check cost?

Your first check is free with a full report. After that, each check is a flat $1, pay as you go, with no subscription. API and bulk screening are priced by volume. Contact us for a quote.

Is the first check really free?

Yes. The first review returns the full report at no cost and does not need a card.

What does the risk score mean?

It runs from 0 to 100. A low score means nothing flagged was found in the transactions analyzed. A higher score points to exposure such as sanctions links, mixers, scams or dark market activity, and the report lists which ones.

Can a wallet be "tainted"?

People use "tainted" for a wallet that has received funds linked to crime. A review shows whether such links exist and how close they are, so you can judge whether they are a direct concern or a distant one.

How far back does the review look?

The review follows the wallet's on-chain history and traces transfers through the wider graph, so exposure that arrives several steps away can still show up. Very large or very old wallets may take longer to process.

What does a distant link mean?

If a wallet is a few transfers removed from a flagged address, the report notes the link but treats it as weaker than a direct dealing. Distance and amount both affect how much a link adds to the score.

What if the wallet is brand new?

A new wallet has little to review, so the report will say the history is short rather than call it risky. For large amounts, consider asking the counterparty for more information or starting with a small test payment.

Does a low score guarantee a wallet is safe?

No. A low score means nothing flagged was found in the data analyzed. New risks and gaps in coverage are always possible, so use the score as one input alongside your own judgment and policy.

Can I check an exchange deposit address?

You can scan it, but deposit addresses often belong to a shared exchange wallet, so the history reflects many customers rather than one person. Read those results with that in mind.

What is the difference between a hot wallet and a cold wallet in a review?

A hot wallet is online and active, so it usually has a busy history with many counterparties. A cold wallet moves rarely, so its history is short and easier to read. The review treats both the same way and scores what it finds.

Can I check a transaction hash instead of a wallet?

Yes. Paste a TRON transaction hash and the review looks at the sending and receiving wallets involved, including USDT TRC20 transfers.

Does it work with USDT TRC20?

Yes. USDT TRC20, TRX and other TRC20 token movements are reviewed together as part of the same wallet history.

How does sanctions screening work?

The wallet and the counterparties found in its transaction graph are matched against sanctions and watchlist data, including major government lists such as OFAC. Reports state whether exposure is direct or indirect.

How does mixer detection work?

The review looks for on-chain patterns typical of mixing and obfuscation on TRON, and follows exposure through linked wallets, so indirect links can show up as well as direct transfers.

What is in the report?

The wallet address and network, the 0–100 score, a breakdown by risk category, sanctions and mixer results, a counterparty summary and a timestamp. It downloads as PDF or JSON.

How long does a review take?

Most wallets finish within a few seconds. Wallets with very large histories can take longer. The report is created in the same step.

What should I do after a high-risk result?

Read the factors behind the score, then act under your own policy: pause the transaction, ask the counterparty for an explanation or decline. A high score is a risk signal, not a legal finding.

Can the review tell me who owns a wallet?

No. Wallet Crypto AML does not identify owners. It describes what the wallet has done on the blockchain, which is a different question from who stands behind it.

Can I use it for P2P and OTC trades?

Yes. Reviewing the counterparty's wallet before a trade helps you spot sanctions or mixer exposure early, and the saved report shows that you checked.

Can merchants review wallets that pay them?

Yes. Businesses that accept USDT or TRX can review the paying wallet before crediting an order, either by hand or automatically through the API.

Is there an API?

Yes. A REST API handles single wallets and batches and returns JSON. Contact us for documentation and a key.

Can I review many wallets at once?

Yes. Bulk screening accepts a list by CSV upload or through the API. Volume plans give a lower price per check.

How does wallet monitoring work?

Monitoring watches a wallet for new activity. If it sends to or receives from a flagged address, you get an alert by email or webhook.

Can reports be used for compliance records?

Reports contain details commonly kept in due diligence files: address, network, score with breakdown, sanctions status and a timestamp. Requirements differ by jurisdiction, so confirm with your compliance advisor.

Does it follow FATF guidance?

Report categories follow the kinds of risk factors used in FATF-style virtual asset guidance, such as sanctions exposure, mixer usage and high-risk counterparties. It supports due diligence but does not replace your own compliance program.

Does it help with the Travel Rule?

The Travel Rule requires VASPs to share originator and beneficiary details on transfers above a threshold. Enterprise plans can support Travel Rule workflows for TRON VASPs. Contact us for details.

Is my checking history private?

Results are tied to your account and are not published. The service analyzes publicly available blockchain data.

Where do the live rates come from?

The rate bar under the scanner uses the public CoinGecko API and refreshes while the page is open. The peg figure shows how far the USDT price sits from $1. Both are for reference and do not affect scores.
